ABOUT MANNY

A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERSHIP
Bio Pic.png

Manny Rodriguez, 24, is a passionate public servant and a long-time community organizer dedicated to the advancement of marginalized groups. Born and raised in El Paso, Manny is a proud graduate of Socorro ISD’s Eastlake High School, Class of 2018. In 2021, he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science, with a minor in business administration, from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas, an institution known for producing ethically driven leaders. A son of Mexican immigrants, he became the first in his family to achieve a higher education degree. Although he initially left El Paso to attend St. Mary’s, he always knew he wanted to return to serve the community that raised him, and he has.

Manny currently leads the Government Affairs Department for the El Paso Chamber, where he advocates for pro-business policies that support economic growth and job creation in the region. Before joining the El Paso Chamber, Manny served as a trusted staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives for two Texas members of Congress. Over the course of his career, he has managed complex casework, coordinated Biden-Harris Cabinet visits to our region, and served as a liaison, assisting residents and local organizations in navigating federal resources and programs.

Manny’s platform centers on restoring public trust, supporting teachers, and ensuring that Socorro ISD remains the top choice for families. He is dedicated to providing every student with the resources they need to thrive, and he envisions a district that values accountability, supports its workforce, and remains committed to the values that make Socorro ISD a pillar of the greater El Paso community.
